About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

my flight is transiting xiamen airport for 12hrs,

im holding a philippine passport am i eligible for the 24hr free visa?
flight details: seoul-xiamen-singapore

My family & I was supposed to travel on 31st December via Xiamen airlines from Seoul, transit to Xiamen & final destination is Singapore but we were off loaded because they say that we must hold a visa to transit to China. but according to our research & as per your reply we dont need a visa. Can you suggest any measures to get compensated for the hassle the Airlines brought upon us? We had no choice but to purchase new tickets to go back home :(
