About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

China Eastern flight question

We plan to fly Sydney to Beijing with China Eastern airlines flight MU728 which we note is to Beijing VIA Nanjing 'non stop' (presumably where it sets down passengers and picks up new ones onto the same plane which we would not leave). Therefore we enter China through Beijing from Australia and then have onward ticket to Japan within the 72 hour timeframe. Are we eligible for this visa or does the VIA Nanjing part of the flight mean we are not?

Many thanks

Well, this is a little complicated. I personally think you still qualify for the 72-hour free transit in Beijing but you need to double check this with the airline.
