About:China Business Visa

I am a British citizen and would like to get a F or x2 visa in belgium.

Some people have told me this is not possible as the embassy in belgium has different regulations? I currently do not have the paper work for an F, so I was going to get a tourist L type instead. Is it possible to convert this to an F or x2 in china/ Hong Kong later on?

Maria, yes, it is possible to convert the tourist L type to an F or X2 type in China. You cannot change that in HK.
