Will I need to go through customs and security even if my check in luggage has been sent to chengdu? What is the procedure after I arrive?Thanks very much.

It is an international to domestic transfer at CAN, right? And yes, you need to go through the customs and security check. The baggage is needed to reclaim at Baiyun Airport.
