About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I am going from LA back to Australia and I will have about a 50 hour stopover

meaning I will need to apply for the 78hour visa-free transit. Does anyone know what happens from there? Do I leave the airport? Get accommodation? Do I need to book accommodation? Or is there shuttle busses to and from the airport..

Meg, may I know which city will you stop over? If you mean to use the 72h free trnsit policy in a Chinese city, you can leave the airport to stay in a hotel or tour in the city, but you don't have to book accommodation in advance. Generally speaking, most airports have shuttle buses transporting passengers to and from the airport, so you don't need to worry about that.
