About:Beijing Capital Airport Express Train

Would 5 hours be enough to go for shopping only?

I will have 8hrs layover in Beijing. If I will take express train and go to the closest shopping center would 5hrs be enough time? What is the closest shopping mall to the PEK Airport? Many thanks in advance.

Yes, the time is enough. You are advised to go to Wangfujing area. Take AE train from PEK to Dongzhimen Station. Next, change to metro line 2 to Jianguomen Station. Then, transfer to metro line 1 to Wangfujing Station, Exit C2. The whole trip takes about 45 minutes, and the fare totals CNY 28. Upon arrival, walk northward, and you can find many shopping malls.

By the way, you can also go shopping at the duty-free shops within PEK. :)
