About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

I am travelling from LA to Baiyun Airport and after 8 hours of layover connecting flight to Nepal.

So, could you please tell me the steps after I land from LA by Southern China to my connecting flight to Nepal? And can I use $ in the airport?

It's international to international transfer in CAN. The correct transfer procedures are the following:
Flight Arrival - Stamped on the Boarding Pass & Quarantine - Transfer Procedure - Waiting & Boarding
In addition, most shops and restaurants at the airport only accept RMB. Don't worry. There are several money exchange counters. You can exchange some RMB there. :)
