About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24 hours visa free when coming in on land border

I will be flying into Macau and then fly from Guangzhou to Chongqing and onward to the UK within 24 hours.

Will I be able to get a 24 hours transit permit exemption at the Zhuhai border? Or is it only available when arriving by air?

Michiel, if you are sure that you will leave for the UK within 24 hours, it's possible to get the 24h direct transit at the Zhuhai Border. You don't have to take a air from Macau to Zhuhai or Guangzhou.
