About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

What visa do I need for a 7 day stay from Syd to shanghai

We are leaving Syd on the 8th write on the 9th with a stop over in Guangzhou and leaving on the 15th with an overnight stay aswell

No, you cannot apply online. You should apply for it from the CVASC in Sydney.
