I am arriving in Shanghai on a cruise ship

In January 2017, staying 2 Days at a Hotel in the city, then flying back to UK from Shanghai Airport. Can you confirm I do not require a visa as I will not be leaving Shanghai?

If the last country you come from before entering Shanghai is not UK, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai.
