About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Layovers in Shanghai and Hong Kong

I will be having layovers of 10-15 hours in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Do I need a visa to tour those cities for a few hours? If so, which one? Thank you.

If you will fly like US-Shanghai-HK-US, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. As for HK, US passport holders can enjoy free entry to go there. In this case, no visa will be needed.
