Question

I am leaving in Canada and coming back on feb 8 .  On going I only have to stop only 1 stop . I have to stop in Shanghai 7 hours but on coming Back i have to  stop at Tianjin  for 5 hours and then I have to get shanghai flight  and then back to Toronto so I need visa for  both way or only on coming back . You mean you will travel like Canada-Shanghai (7 hours)-a third country-Tianjin (5 hours)-Shanghai-Canada? If yes, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai when you go there. On your way back, if your total layover in Tianjin and Shanghai is less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit once again. In this case, no visa will be needed.
