About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying to Bangkok from geneva, via beijing, with a 11hrs layover.

Hi.
Portuguese passport holders. Would it be ok to visit the city for this time?
Am i iligible to have a transit visa?

Pires, yes, it is ok. You are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. You can just apply for a free temporary stay permit at Beijing airport, and then you can go to visit the city.
