About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hour visa-free transit.

Hello,

We are travelling from Sydney, Australia to Shanghai via Hongkong. We would like to stay in Shanghai for 5-6 days and then fly onward to Hongkong we will be staying in Hongkong for 5 days and then return to Sydney directly from Hongkong. Can we use the 144 hour free transit please?

Nope, since you are flying to Shanghai from Hong Kong then back. One of your flights need to leave from a third country other than HK.
