beijing - zhangjiajie - beijing

Question

Hi, is it possible for me to travel from beijing to zhangjiajie by train and spend there for 2days? I want to go to Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain Glass Skywalk for half day tour and going back to beijing. What is the weather for both place because I plan to go there in early december?Hope you can help and give some suggestions for me.Thanks ahead.

You can either take flight or train from Beijing to Zhangjiajie. The flight takes around 4 hours and the train journey takes about 24 hours. The other option is to take flight from Beijing to Changde first (2.5 hours), then take train from Changde to Zhangjiajie (3 hours). As for the sightseeing, it normally needs 2 or 3 days to visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and another half day for Tianmen Mountain. It is winter time in December in Beijing and Zhangjiajie, you are suggested to wear warm clothes, especially in mountain area. It might snow at that time and the sceneries will be different.
