About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

USA tourist coming to Chengdu

If I am visiting Hong Kong from the USA (USA passport holder) and wish to visit Chengdu (Less than 72hrs) am I eligible for the 72hr Transit Visa. I would hold a ticket USA-HKG-USA and then HKG - Chengdu - HKG.

Martha, if so, I’m afraid you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Chengdu. You should travel like USA-HKG-Chengdu-USA.
