About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Layover in Xiamen!

Hi, just wondering on a 22 hour layover in xiamen on Route back to Canada! We are Canadian citizens and would are arriving from Bangkok en route to YVR! Do we need to apply for a Transit entry permit or do we just fill out the declaration card and head to the visa counter with passports and clear customs?
Thanks

You are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Xiamen. You don’t need to apply for a transit G type entry permit.
After arrival at Xiamen airport, if you want to leave the airport, you can just go to the immigration office to apply for a free temporary stay permit by showing your passport and air tickets. If you don’t leave the airport, you can just stay at the transit zone.
