US Citizen working in Japan for tourist visa to China

Hello,

I am a US government worker in Japan that would like to travel to China for 3 days for vacation. I do not have anyone that could write an invitation letter. Can I apply for the visa here and travel? Thank you

Donald, yes, you can apply for it from there and then travel. If you can provide round trip air tickets and hotel reservation, the invitation letter won’t be necessary.
