About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hello,we are from Belgium cruising with Celebrity Millenium. Is a transit 144 u visa for Shangai ok?

Itinery

Kagoshima Japan Docked: 9:00AM to 6:00PM
Shanghai (Baoshan) China Docked: 6:00AM to 8:00PM
Jeju S.korea(technical Call) Tendered: 8:00PM to 10:00PM
Taipei(keelung) Taiwan Docked: 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Your itinerary is perfectly eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area. The reason why you cannot apply for 144 hour visa free transit is only in the fact that your entire time spent in Shanghai will be less than 24 hours. In that case, you become eligible for 24 hours visa free transit. In reality, this is perfectly the same in your case because you will be able to enjoy your visit to Shanghai area completely visa free.
