About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Journey from UK Via Hong Kong

My son will travel from UK to Shanghai, with a flight change in Hong Kong. He will not lave the airport. After 4 days we will travel to Hong Kong for a few days and he will fly back to the UK. Is he eligible?

Many Thanks

Lesley, no, he won’t be eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai even though he won’t leave HK airport on the way.
