Singapore passport validity required to enter China

My Singapore passport expires on 8 May 2017 and I am travelling to China on 13 Dec 2016 for 7 days. Can I enter China as my passport is less than 6 months validity?

I think you can still enter China even though your passport is less than 6 months validity.
