which cities around suzhou are a must see?

I am in Suzhou for a couple of month. At weekends I would like to travel around. But most trips are just 2day trips, because I have to work Monday till Friday. I'd like to see more beautiful landscapes than crowded cities. Thank you in advance.

Besides the tourist destinations in Suzhou city, you are recommended to go to some places around the city, like Shanghai, Hangzhou or Wuxi. Shanghai is a morden city and Hangzhou is a city worth your exploration leisurely. They all can be easily accessible by high speed train. Or you may consider visiting a nearby water town, such as Tongli or Zhouzhuang.
