About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I travel to Shanghai for 2-3 days?

I am a mexican exchange student in South Korea. I want to travel to Shanghai for no more than 3 days in December. If I buy a round trip ticket from Seoul-Shanghai-Seoul, can I get the 144 free transit?

No, you will have to get a Chinese visa since you are not in transit, unless your itinerary involves transiting in a third country other than Korea (e.g. Korea-Shanghai-Japan(transit)-Korea).
