About:Chinese Paper-cut Museum

traveling through Beijing airport within 24 hours but not on an official connecting flight.

I'm a U. S. citizen traveling from Densapar to Beijing, than I have a separately booked flight from Beijing to Seattle 6 hours later, can I collect my luggage and go to my next flight without a visa? The flights are not official connecting flights.

Yes, you can collect your luggage and catch your next flight. Separate flight tickets can be used in terms of the 24-hour free transit.
