About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

HK-Shaghai-HK

My wife and myself are EU citizens and we'll be staying a week in HK. Can we get the 72 hr free transit if we fly from HK to Shanghai and then back to HK?

No it doesn´t work as you can´t return to the country you started of.
