About:Visa Policy of China

I am arriving on a Cruise Ship from Japan for a 10 hour stop in Shanghai

then onto Hong Kong do I need a visa

Caroline, in principle, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit and then no entry permit is needed, but just to be sure, you’d better double check that with the cruise ship company.
