About:China Transit Visa

15 hour airport layover from India

Hi, I will be going to New Zealand in December 2016 via Beijing. Both the times I have a 15 hour stopover at the airport. Can I move out of the airport and visit the great wall?

Prateek, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing both times. You just need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the airport and then you can leave the airport to visit the Great Wall.

Thanks a lot Eddy. I had seen a few posts where Indians said they were denied, I hope this sin't the case. The transit G type costs quite a bit and I am hoping TWOV works. Thanks again :)
