About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I will be flying from the US to Shanghai Pudong airport then board the cruise ship the next day.

Does the 144 hr free transit apply to tourists who fly into the airport to take the cruise the next day?

I 've asked this question to visa office who processes the visa for the cruise ship and they said they dont know (:-)

I appreciate your reply.
Thank you!

Joy, if the cruise will sail to a third country or region rather than US, you will be able to make use of the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. The 144 hour free transit is applicable to those who fly into the airport and then take the cruise ship to leave.
