uk passport in beijing for 2 days

Question

Hi I am travelling from the UK to New Zealand however looking to stop at Beijing Capital Airport (PEK) airport and stay in Beijing for 2 days and do a tour of the great wall and forbidden city. Will the 72 hour free transit allow me to do this or do I need to apply for a full tourist visa?Thanks in advance for your help :-)

Michelle, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Beijing and the 72 hour free transit will allow you to do that. You don’t need to apply for a full tourist L type entry permit.
