About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Paris to Guangzhou then Shanghai : 144 hr visa free transit?

Hi I am flying into Guangzhou from Paris on an Irish passport and then going straight onto Shanghai where I will be staying for four nights and then back to Guangzhou to fly to New Zealand. I will not be leaving Guangzhou airport. Will I need a visa? Many thanks

Isabel, as you will stay in both Guangzhou and Shanghai, you are not eligible for the 144h or 72h free transit, so you need to apply for an entry permit before your departure.
