traveling from us los angeles to hcmc saigon vietnam via guangzhou (can) china southern

Question

Stopover is a mere 1h25m.  The flights are all done by China Southern Airlines. Is that sufficient time get off the plane, run toward the next terminal for boarding?   We figure getting off the plane may take 25-30 minutes... so we would have less than an hour left. Is it razor close?  Anybody knows China Southern Airlines gates for arrivals from US and departures to SGN (HCMC Vietnam)?  Are they close enough so we can make it?

i recently flew from US and needed to make a transfer to a flight to Dalian. I had 1 hour 30 minutes in the airport on China Southern Airlines. It was not enough time. I missed my flight. For international to domestic transfer I would allow at leadt 2 hours at airport .
