About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I'm confused. Do I need a visa at all if I'll be in the airport for 10 hours?

I'm traveling from Chicago to Beijing to Thailand... and then back 22 days later. I have a 4hour layover each way in Beijing.

Brota, if so, you don’t need it. You can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing for both legs of your trip.
