Sanya VOA - Passport Validity

Can I get a VOA at Sanya Phoenix International airport if my Spanish passport has less than six months until the expiry date when I arrive in Sanya. I will be traveling on the same flights from Hong Kong with 4 friends and staying 4 nights (at Club Med) before returning to Hong Kong - is our group eligible for the Hainan visa exemption program?

Paul, I think it is still possible for you to get VOA at Sanya airport. Based on what I know, your passport must have a more than 6-month remaining validity when you apply for a visa for China, but there is no such a requirement for VOA application.
