About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does the 144 hour free visa apply.

We are on a cruise from England calling at Shanghai for one day, then our cruise continues to Hong Kong, where we disembark, staying in a hotel overnight prior to our flight back to UK, will the 144 hour free transit apply, thank you. Carolin

Carolin, so you will take the cruise from another country to Shanghai, after one day, depart for HK? I think you are eligible for the free transit policy, but you still need to double check this with the cruise company. Some people say that cruise companies may not allow passengers to board if they don't have a visa.
