About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I land in two chinese cities on a 72-hour free transit

Do I need a visa if my flights are Seattle (SEA) — Beijing (PEK) Change planes in Beijing (PEK) layover of 1h 35m then fly from Beijing (PEK) — Shenzhen (SZX) Change planes in Shenzhen (SZX) Long layover 6h 20m
3:15a — 7:10a Takes off Wed, Nov 30 Shenzhen (SZX) — Kuala Lumpur (KUL)

Mitchell, according to what you described, your total layover is less than 24 hours, so you can enjoy the 24h direct transit policy. When you stop in two cities, you are not eligible for the 72h free transit policy.
