How can a Swiss citizen in Geneva get a Chinese tourist visa?

I wish to travel to China as a tourist for one week and then again for 4 days. Is it possible to get the tourist visa in Geneva without traveling to their embassy in Bern, and if so how?

Michael, there is no embassy in Geneva, so you need to apply for it from the embassy of PRC in Bern.
