About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Visa on Arrival, Beijing

Hello. As a citizen of Kazakhstan residing in Japan, can I use express or same-day service?

I'm going to a scientific meeting in Beijing in October 12-25, and I have only 3 (?) working days before my departure on october 12th.

And is it possible to get a VOA to Beijing airport, having an invitation letter from an institute (institute of high energy physics)?

Yermek, if the institute can get you a VOA notification from the exit and entry administration of the local PSB, you can get VOA after arriving at Beijing airport. Otherwise, you need to apply for the entry permit in advance and you can use the express service.

Thank you for the answer. The problem is, the institution doesn't know what is VOA notification, and they are asking for the template or form for it. Is the ordinary invitation letter from the duly authorized unit enough for VOA?
