About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

arriving Beijing departing via cruise ship.

What type visa must I get to arrive Beijing and departing within 48 hrs via cruise ship.

You need to apply for a tourist L type for that. Or you can apply for a tourist L type if you will take the cruise ship to a third country or region rather than the last one you come from.
