Wondering if i have a ticket to Bangkok with 3 day stopover in Shanghai flying from London

and the check in counter in London gives me only a boarding pass from LON- Shanghai. Can I show my itinerary to the immigration control at Shanghai airport that i have a confirmed outbound ticket to a third country to be eligible to the 144 hour visa free transit please?

You can show your itinerary to the immigration control at Shanghai airport to prove that you are eligible for the 144 hour free transit there. You need to inform the airline at London airport that you want to use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. After arrival, you can just go to the transit counter to apply for the free transit.
