About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need to register at Police Station if I am in Shanghai for just six hours.

My flight lands at 6:00 AM and departs at 3:00 PM the same day. I plan to step out and see Shanghai for about 5 hours. Do I still need to register at a local Police Station? Thanks!

You don't need to do so because you stay for a very short time in Shanghai.
