About:Visa Policy of China

China to Hong Kong, Hong Kong to Macau

My boss is going to China on business in November. I need to know what the requirements are for an American with a visa already to get from China to Hong Kong and then from Hong Kong to Macau?

Thank you!

Erin, if your boss has the entry permit for mainland PRC, he/she just needs to take passport and entry permit to travel to PRC.
American passport holders can enjoy free entry to HK and Macau for a stay of not exceeding 90 days and 30 days respectively, so no entry permit will be needed for HK and Macau. When going there, those documents should be taken: passport, the return or onward ticket, enough travel fees and hotel reservation.

So if he has a US passport, he can get into HK and Macau with no other paperwork? Or even as a US passport holder, he will still need the Entry Permit for Mainland PRC?

Im sorry Im not understanding.

Erin, you are right! If he holds US passport, he can enjoy free entry to Macau and HK, but he still needs to apply for a visa for mainland PRC.
