Do i need a visa to go to Shenzhen?

I hold a Malaysian passport and will be travelling from Malaysia to Hong Kong (where i do not require a visa), and plan to crossover to visit the city for a couple of days. Do i need to apply for a visa? And where can i apply for a visa, if one is needed?
