About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hour transit visa valid if: stopover in Dubai (UAE) but do not leave airport in UAE

Hi,

I am flying to Shanghai and want to use the 144 hour transit period. I fly in from Amsterdam, but back via Dubai. Do I have to leave the airport there or does it not matter? The ticket will be Shanghai Dubai and direct transfer to Amsterdam, my luggage would be labelled to Amsterdam.

Thomas, you mean you will travel like Amsterdam-Shanghai-Dubai-Amsterdam? If yes, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. You don’t need to leave the airport.
