About:China Tourist Visa

what type of visa needed

Im planning to visit Mainland china. Hong Kong TPE and Shanghai . Do i need to request a multiple entry via in advance? USA passport and flight itinerary.
please advice

David, you need to apply for a tourist L type for mainland PRC. And if you just enter PRC once, a single entry L type is enough. Otherwise, you need to apply for a double-entry or multiple-entry L type.
As for HK and TPE, you can enjoy free entry, so no entry permit is needed.
