i am flying to chengdu rd trip usastaying 60 hours. is entry permit required?

Ruth, you mean you will fly back to USA after staying for 60 hours in Chengdu? If yes, you won’t be eligible for the 72 hour free transit. You need to apply for an entry permit beforehand. You can apply for the 10-year one. But you cannot mail your application. You should submit it in person or ask someone to do that for you. Maybe you need to wait in line if many people go there for the application.
