Beijing south and Beijing station (overnight)

I am traveling overnight from Beijing to Shanghai in a soft sleeper train D from Beijing nan south, I notice there is a deluxe soft sleeper on train T109 but the departure says Beijing, are both the same station? And if not are they close? Thanks!

They are not the same station. For D type, it departs from Beijing South ( South equals Nan). The T109 departs from Beijing railway station instead. You can take subway to transfer between the two stations which may take around 30min on the way.
