About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

If i travel from jfk to pvg with a layover of 4 hours before flying to nrt, do i need a visa?

I am a us citizen with a us passport

You don’t need it because you are eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai.
