I plan to fly from Auckland to Europe and stopover in Shanghai for two nights . Do I eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Shanghai ?

Ilan, you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit because of your nationality. You need to apply for a transit G type in advance.
You don’t need a transit entry permit for HK because Israeli passport holders can enjoy free entry to go there for a stay of no more than 90 days.
