Hi! We have an 8 hours layover at Hong Kong Airport.

Will it be enough to go to the big Buddha and ride the cable car?

Your time is a little bit tight because you need to go back to HKIA at least 2 hours before the departure.
From the airport, yo ucan take shuttle bus no.E21 and get to Fu Tung Shopping Centre, Tat Tung Road. Then walk to the Lower Cable Car Terminus and take it to the Big Buddha directly. The suggested sightseeing time is 2-3 hours.
Have fun!
