About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

My cruise trip starts at Yokohama in Japan, and visits two Korean cities.

The cruise ship ends at Shanghai. I will fly to Seoul Korea on the same day. Do I need a VISA for that because it is less than 24 hours? Does my last cruise visiting country, Korea, count as an entry country or cruise starting country, Japan, count as an entry country? Thank you Nahm Lee

Nahm, so the ship will enter Shanghai from Korea? If yes, you cannot enjoy the free transit in Shanghai. You need to apply for an entry permit for that.
